Cotton Seed Oil

production in Turkey is done most in Southeastern Anatolia. It grows mostly in Şanlıurfa, Adana and its surroundings. With the GAP (Southeastern Anatolia Project) project, cotton cultivation areas have increased rapidly.

It is grown in depressions on the coasts of the Aegean region.

Cotton production is widespread in the Mediterranean Region, primarily in Adana (Çukurova), Hatay, Kahramanmaraş and İçel.

Production is also carried out in the Marmara region around Balıkesir, Bursa and Çanakkale.

Cotton is cultivated in some regions in the Eastern Anatolia Region. Elazig, Malatya and Iğdır are the main cotton growing areas in Eastern Anatolia.
