Bitter Almond Extract

Bitter almond is a common form of almond whose botanical name is prunus dulcis or prunus amygdalus. The almond plant is native to some parts of the Middle East as well as to the African and Indian sub-continents, but it likes plenty of sunshine, warm winters, well-watered places and does not discriminate. Almond is the seed of this plant which is edible and widely consumed as a dried fruit all over the world.

Bitter almond fruit is widely used in medicinal medicines and during the production of these medicines. This fruit is bitter with a pungent smell that makes you feel more consumed. Bitter almond oil is made from different kinds of almonds. About half of the weight of a dry almond is fat. It is obtained by pressing the ripe almonds to remove the oil with minimum heat.
