Known as Citrus Bergamia, Bergamot is a 4 meter tall tree from the citrus family. The leaves are long and dark green. The flowers are white in color and small, the fruits in the form of spheres or pears, 5-7 cm in diameter, the meat is sour delicious, the crust portion is lemon yellow color. Although the roots can be traced back to Southeast Asia, bergamot is grown more widely in the southern part of Italy. This fruit is also grown in Argentina, Brazil, Algeria, Ivory Coast, Morocco and Tunisia. In our country, the coasts of the Eastern Mediterranean are grown in Adana, Mersin and Hatay. Balancing the Bergamot essential oil, aroma mixture and harmonizing all the essences, perfume is one of the basic elements in perfume production because of its ability to increase. It absorbs the unpleasant odors of medicinal products by the pharmaceutical industry and uses its antiseptic and antibacterial properties.
